DanAI keeps your working research in this browser. When you use AI, search, crawling or scholarly lookup, the information needed for that request is sent to the provider configured for that capability.

Research history and items you add to the knowledge library, stored in browser IndexedDB.
Provider or search credentials you enter are session-only by default. If you explicitly choose to remember them, they are stored in this browser profile until you turn that option off or delete local data.
Language, theme, model, search and report preferences, including the support prompt choice.

During a request

Sent only when a capability needs it

Questions, instructions, selected source text and prior step output may be sent to the configured AI provider to produce the next step.
Search terms, URLs or document identifiers may be sent to the selected search, crawler or scholarly service.
Local-resource-only mode avoids web search and crawling, but an AI provider can still receive content unless the selected model itself runs locally. External providers apply their own retention policies.

Delete on this device

Erase all local DanAI data

This removes the active research, saved history, knowledge library, locally entered credentials, preferences and the current administrator session from this browser. It cannot be undone.

This action cannot erase information that an external provider may already retain under its own policy.
